R.G. Hardie & Co is delighted to launch its Poly Pipe Chanter MKII. It features oval finger holes and sound holes for maximum projection while still allowing comfortable finger positioning.
The MKII made a highly successful debut during the 2014 season, being played by the Dollar Academy Juvenile Pipe Band when they took first prize at the 2014 World Championships.
“The MKII chanter is the result of two years of research and design aimed at refining our poly pipe band chanter,” said Alastair Dunn, Managing Director of R.G. Hardie & Co and Pipe Sergeant of Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band. “Finger hole sizes have been optimised and the profile has been refined enhancing the chanter’s projection, stability and pitch to deliver a winning sound for bands in all grades.”
