R. G. Hardie Acetal Bagpipes

RGHP00 Acetal Bagpipes

Cost effective, easy to maintain and designed to last the test of time, these bagpipes are made to the same internal bore specification as our Blackwood bagpipes to produce a full, rich resonant sound.

Features:

  • AdjustiStick Blowpipe
  • Fully Combed and Beaded Acetal
  • Black acetal ferrules, ring caps and ring cap bushes
  • Integrated projecting mounts
  • 5 year guarantee

A good moisture control system is recommended. Each set comes with R.G. Hardie and the year of manufacture engraved on the Bass Stock.

Acetal is among the strongest and stiffest of all thermoplastics and we have selected this material due to its similar physical properties to blackwood with the advantage of low moisture sensitivity.

“These pipes are ideal for beginners, casual players, or any piper playing in extreme weather climates like the cold temperatures of St. Patrick’s Day parades in New York or Boston, or the searing heat of Australian summers,” said Alastair Dunn, Managing Director. “We spent 6 months developing the RGHP00 Acetal Bagpipes and are very happy with the final product.”
