As principal sponsor of the Field Marshal Montgomery Pipe Band, R.G. Hardie & Co were delighted to celebrate with the band in their triumph at the World Pipe Band Championships in Glasgow on 13th August 2016. It marked the band’s 11th win overall since 1992. In the past 30 years, no other pipe band has dominated the prize list like FMM.

After the dust settled, we caught up with Pipe Major Richard Parkes MBE to get this thoughts on the band’s latest success:
“The band put in its best performances of the year at the Worlds final on 13th August and given the standard of competition, we had to. It was an incredible experience to get our 11th World title and I can assure you the feeling never gets old. We have a great team of youth and experience within the band and I look forward to leading them in the future, with the aspiration to win more titles.”
