New for 2014, R.G. Hardie & Co proudly launches its Precision Made RGHP01 Acetal Bagpipes.
Cost effective, easy to maintain and designed to last the test of time, these bagpipes are made to the same internal bore specification as our African Blackwood bagpipes to produce a full, rich resonant sound.
Acetal is among the strongest and stiffest of all thermoplastics and we have selected this material due to its similar physical properties to African Blackwood with the advantage of low moisture sensitivity.
“These pipes are ideal for beginners, casual players, or any piper playing in extreme weather climates like the cold temperatures of St. Paddy’s Day parades in New York or Boston, or the searing heat of Australian summers,” said Alastair Dunn, Managing Director. “We have spent the last 6 months developing the RGHP01 Acetal Bagpipes and are very happy with the final product.”
